We LOVED staying at Villa Bela Vista in magical Sintra. We stayed in the suite with our 2 young children. The rooms are spacious, clean, the bed and pillows comfortable, air conditioning was nice and the views were incredible! We especially loved the generous and delicious breakfast and time on the terrace! Our children enjoyed playing chess and dominos in the game room as well. VBV is just a few blocks to the town center, restaurants and all our favorite sights. Most visitors are making day trips to Sintra from Lisbon so the town gets quiet in the evenings but we enjoyed the calmer pace. All the staff are wonderful and so helpful. They answered all our questions and were happy to make dinner reservations and suggestions. I highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast. ~ Adriann K

It has the best view in Sintra, overlooking the old town and national palace. Most attractions are in walking distance. Their photos are 100% true to reality. It’s a bit busy during the day but very quite at night. I really enjoy having a walk back to the hotel after dinner. I feel like home staying there. Don’t worry about food — It’s close to a lot of nice restaurants. If you want to go farther, it takes a 15 min walk to the train station/ town center. The room is very clean. Bathroom with marble flooring and floor heating. They serve a simple but a generous amount of continental breakfast of fruits, bread basket, ham and cheese, and occasionally classic Portuguese pastries. It’s very easy to get an Uber if you want to travel to Lisbon from there. ~ Keith W

Boutique 9 room hotel located a short 5-7 minute walk to the center of town, yet out of the congestion and noise. Outstanding covid era building renovation featuring gorgeous white marble floors throughout, plus full bath floor/walls, shower stalls and (lighted) vanity. State of the art building systems (have you ever seen a lighted closet clothes bar?). Staff was great, from the manager (Alexandra) to the kitchen and housekeeping, it is evident this establishment is well run and they aim to please! Every room has nice view of city center including the expansive outdoor patio. Our queen room was comfortable sized with 2 high back chairs and a small table. Common sitting area with a few tables and chairs. 5 star breakfast and old style room service are still in fashion here. ~ Joseph C

We recently vacationed in Portugal and began the trip with a short stay in Sintra at Villa Bela Vista. We were incredibly sad to leave this hotel and really wished we had stayed longer than two nights. Everyone was welcoming, kind, and helpful during our stay. Overall, the hotel was very clean, and our room was immaculate. The location is ideal, just around the corner from the historic city center and closer to several of the larger sites/palaces. In addition to the views, breakfast was probably my favorite part about our stay. Each morning there was fresh squeezed orange juice, bread and croissants, meats, cheeses, coffee/espresso, fresh fruit, fresh baked goods (pastel de nata and apple cake), cereal, and yogurt. It was a great way to start the day before sightseeing and hiking the hills of Sintra. ~ Danielle M

최고의 뷰와 신트라 메인 관광지를 도보로 이용할 수 있어 편의성이 좋습니다. 신트라역에서 캐리어를 가지고 도보로 이용해서 가는길이 힘들긴 했지만 관광지 접근성이 정말 뛰어납니다. 무조건 우버나 택시 이용해서 가셔요~ 가깝습니다 : ) 주요 관광지도 가깝고 직원들도 친절했으며 조식도 괜찮았습니다. 다시 가고 싶은 호텔이에요 ! ~ 조준희

Lo tiene todo, las vistas,el encanto la habitación muy grande y cómoda, el desayuno una pasada de rico,la chica muy amable y está súper céntrico de todo,calidad precio genial, lo peor aparcar pero Sintra es horrible para aparcar nosotros tuvimos suerte y lo dejamos más arriba.... ~ bea r

We booked for one night while visiting Sintra. We arrived fairly early in the morning, around 9.30am and Alexandra checked us in and allowed us to leave luggage while we went off visiting the sights. We got back late afternoon and were delighted to relax for a few hours before dinner in our lovely room. Beautiful views over the town, a well appointed bathroom and a comfortable bed were all gratefully utilized. There was a mini bar too which I resisted, although prices were fair . After a meal in town we returned and had a wonderful nights sleep with gentle breezes cooling the room. Next morning we were regrettably somewhat rushed, as I would have enjoyed lingering longer over a very nice breakfast spread. All in all, this was a very comfortable stay and I would have no hestitation in recommending to any travelers to Sintra. Location is great too - close to everything without being in the midst of the chaos! ~ Richard M

Absolutely stunning hotel - the location was perfect, the room was just amazing and the breakfast was delicious. Alexandra and her colleagues couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful with tourist tips and restaurants downtown. We wished we had stayed longer and definitely will be back. It felt like a luxury hotel experience in a cosy warm setting, there are only 9 rooms named after the local palaces. Beautiful views literally from every window in the building. Parking was included which was great, the local bus stop for palace pick ups a 2 minute walk. Hotel Bela vista was a big highlight of our trip to Portugal. ~ Sara C

Is a five star for sure. Alexandra and her staff were phenomenal. Helpful with rides, suggestions and just lovely people. Room was a nice size. The bathroom was incredible with a free standing tub and gigantic shower. Linens on the king bed were dreamy. View over the town from the balcony was stunning. Great location for getting around but be prepared to walk up and down a lot. It’s just Sintra. Breakfast was literally one of the best I’ve had travelling. Fresh scrambled eggs, ham and cheeses, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. Would stay nowhere else in Sintra. ~ Tania D

From the moment we arrived Alexandra was very sympathetic with us. She was pleasant and accommodating to our needs. The room and bathroom we occupied were very nice and the terrace too. The breakfast buffet is very yummy, served with quality foods and the best fruits. My favorite during breakfast is Eva, she is the sweetest in helping you feel welcome and well taken care of. Furthermore, Alexandra has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to everything in that area, just ask! Overall, this was one of the best stays we had in Portugal and one we will always cherish, OBRIGADA! ~ C. U

Such a beautiful location!! You might have some trouble finding Bolt drivers from or to the doorstep but it's so absolutely worth it because the rooms are lovely, the staff are amazing and so friendly, and the views are truly incredible. The breakfast (which is included) was so delicious. The hotel is located a few short minutes from a 434 stop to Pena Palace and just minutes from the National Palace of Sintra. Super convenient to downtown Sintra and not a bad walk to the train station if need be. Overall so lovely and I would absolutely go back. ~ Kathryn G

Absolutely gorgeous property. Room is immaculately clean and functional. Little kitchenette was well equipped with microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine etc. The shared balcony has most amazing view of Sintra with nice furniture to sit and relax. Breakfast was adequate with fresh OJ, bread baskets, coffee, cheese and cold cut meat, yogurt, fruits and cakes. Parking was a bit of concern before arriving but we were lucky to get 1 of 2 parking space. Not sure what if we didn’t get it. Must contact to property before arriving if you driving to Sintra. ~ Lydia

What an amazing stay. From the time we arrive till the end. We had an amazing time. We stayed 2 nights. Beautiful red Villa, well renovated, white stone with a combination of wood. The room has got all the comfort to enjoy your stay. Complimentary coffee, tea and water. The bathroom has got heating floor. Nice shower. Bed is comfy. The view is stunning. Alejandra our host was nice and helpful. Nice continental breakfast. There is also a terrace on the lower ground to enjoy a drink from our Mini bar. ~ Sylvain T

Amazing little boutique hotel, with great views of the Sintra village and landmarks. Stayed one night, and the staff were incredible, the room was very well appointed and clean, and the view from the balcony was stunning. Parking was included and was right outside the main entrance, so aside from the traffic that is normal on the tight one way street going through the area, it was easy. The included breakfast was superb, in a very spacious and modern room with the same views mentioned prior. Highly recommended! ~ James E

My husband and I stayed here during our wedding weekend and had the most amazing time. The rooms are fantastic with AC and heated bathroom floors! Although in the heart of Sintra, the rooms were quiet, we didn’t hear any outside noise. The staff was fantastic and gave us such great recommendations. The only negative would be the super limited parking (only 2 spots and can’t reserve beforehand), but I’d probably not rent a car for the next trip. Would absolutely stay here again! ~ Anna B

Very nice little hotel in Sintra! The hotel is very clean and quiet and the ladies who work here are so kind and helpful. The free breakfast was so much better than I would have thought! Lovely fresh fruit, breads, eggs and great coffee! You can walk to many things to do and take the bus to the rest. It is so special to see the sun rise over Sintra from your balcony in the morning. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Our room was perfect and we really enjoyed the large terrace to sip some wine and take in the beautiful Sintra views. My only constructive feedback would be the breakfast was a bit confusing, we were not sure what was included outside of the small buffet as we were only asked about eggs. However, did it not impact the quality of the stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. ~ BW S

I am not usually one for writing reviews, but having stayed in many hotels around Europe, I can’t think of any to match the Hotel Villa Bela Vista in Sintra. The location is perfect and accommodation is extremely impressive. The attention to detail in the decor, the furnishings and the quality of service is outstanding. My wife and I definitely plan to return. ~ Rob K

Excellent location and service. Few minutes walk from Center of Sintra. Restaurents are near by. Room can view The Palace of Sintra. Breakfast is much greater and bigger than I expected. Beside breakfast set, you have different fruit and yogurt. They all taste great. The reception is super nice and provide advise on site visit and online support. Will come back if I visit Sintra again. ~ carol l
